Our next meeting is scheduled for May 28, 2009 at 2:00 pm in the Rectory at Sacred Heart Church. The topic will be the year in review.
Watch for news of the 2009 Poster Contest at Sacred Heart School. The theme will be "Above All, Love Each Other." This is open to students from grade 3-6 who attend Sacred Heart Elementary School. It is sponsored by our parish's Knights of Columbus.
We welcome new members at any time.
The purpose of Fire in the Rose is to provide education around issues of abuse and domestic violence. No one has to put up with abuse, and there are better ways to solve problems than violence or intimidation. Our work helps those who are being abused to recognize their situation and begin to seek help. It also helps abusers recognize themselves and come to understand that their behaviour is not acceptable. We are unable to provide individual counselling: our ministry is educational. However, we can put you in touch with resources.
